Burning Fire in Ocean

Fine white sands, cold breeze, water that has a reflection of the sky, numerous different trees and the natural beauty hidden in the north where serenity and the wave of water is like a lullaby.

Nangaramoan Beach is the first beach that I have traveled to; In this particular trip way back June 2019, what we mainly did was to enjoy and find ourselves, as we try to bring back the things that is fading. Together with the United Methodist Youth Fellowship we are accompanied by our administrative pastor we travel to the Boracay of the North, the Nangaramoan Beach, which is located at the Province of Cagayan. It is a place where you can find an exciting getaway experiences. The Municipality of Sta. Ana, Cagayan is four hours travel from our municipality Mallig, Isabela. Sta. Ana has a scenic and captivating place where you can experience serenity.

If you are a fan or lover of sun, sand and beach, Nangaramoan Beach is highly recommended. Wherein you can find and witnessed the blue water, green forest, fine white sands and some rock formation. This beach may not developed well and far from the other famous beaches around the Philippines, it is still famous to the other travelers because few people are there and it is an ideal way to enjoy the island and ocean peacefully. During morning or high tide you can enjoy, swim and feel the salty water. However, when low tide comes the only thing you can do is to relax and watch the sunset. You can also see some rock formations, sea shell and coral from the sea. The best thing to enjoy about low tide is when everyone is lying in the sand as we watch the sun, the waves and feel the air together with the sound from the guitar.

Accommodations here is simple than the other near beaches, Nangaramoan Beach doesn’t have an entrance fee, all you need to do is rent a cabin. Our cabin that we rent is a two storey house located at the top of the hill, with two air conditioned bedrooms, two comfort room and an area to cook our food. You can really enjoy and escape from the city because it is hard to find cellular networks and internet, though there is a television, we prioritize the natural scenery.

So when we was finally free from the city, stress, responsibilities and from everything that throttle and suppressing us to our real self; we did our best to do more activities.

First, we are all delight in the sunset, together we witnessed on how the day ends. We captured photographs at the seashore and rock formation, shared the things that throttles us, we laugh and we reflect.

Furthermore, we tried piling up stone. This activity taught us that it takes determination and sweat to build something. It is hard to build, when you’re out focus, it is hard to build when you’re stopping yourself. The main reason why we tried this activity is “Our relationship with God seems so hard to build when something is dragging you down, but if the faith is burning it is easy for us to build that relationship”  To get what you really want. Rock is hard, that time we all wish that after the recollection, we will rebuild the relationship with God and this time it is more stronger.

Typical attitude of our group, we also visit other nearby rock formation and we are all in awe when we found this spot. Wherein we captured aesthetic photos like our silhouette, we witnessed the sunset with the smile on our lips. It is truly great to found something spectacular place with someone who you really love.

It is already hour of darkness, we gathered at the seashore together with our foods, guitar, beat box ,cellphones. We played some activities that related to our recollection, like lifting up the basin using out foot, filling the basin with salt water using a small cup, message relay, devotion and sharing. At the end, we are all together facing the ocean, as the guitar composed wonderful noise we are all in silence, no one dared to break it. The ocean is calling us, the sound waves blend with the guitar and together we sing our song, cried out loud, we prayed, and we hope that after that night everything will be alright, we hope that the faith keep on burning. Stargazing, jamming, lying in the sand are the things we do to end the day.

Next day, the sun rise and no one watched it, because we are all tired last night. As I woke up, the waves is like a music to my ears, it is fulfilling, and a wonderful gift to start the day. We get together in the second floor of our lodge, to eat our breakfast, with the breathtaking scenery of the ocean.

Afterwards, we go for a dip and visited the nearby beach of Anguib. We found a high rock formation, some of us climb and tried to jump from it. We collected a lot of sea shells and good-looking stone that serve as our souvenir.

To visit other islands, we go for boating (island hopping) with the rent of Php 1,000 we take a trip to four islands from Nangaramoan, Anguib Beach, Crocodile Island, Pozo Robo Beach and Palaui Island, it is an exciting and thrilling experience because almost of us is a first timer in that particular activity given the fact that we are in a deep sea. Strong waves, wild winds and the scream of my partners blended, but when I touched the water, everything come to slow motion. The cold blue water and wild wind hitting my face bring me into realizations, that our travel is not just only for us, but it also for our relationship with God. Our travel is not only for enjoyment, but also to keep the faith burning. This is not just a travel, but this is the way to bring back all the things that we failed to strengthen to. As we travel the ocean, and the water touch me I feel the fire, I feel that something is burning. And I am sure that it is my faith.

Wild winds, waves of water, and fine sands in my feet. As the wind touch my skin, I feel the faith burning. How ironic that there is fire in the oceans, how ironic there is burning in water? But this ocean calls us, the fading fire of our faith burned again as we start another commitment, as we start another relationship. The ocean of the north witnessed on how we recharged and lit up our faith again.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
